BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — Firefighters rushed to extinguish an enormous fire in a Brooklyn home that left three people injured Wednesday afternoon, said the FDNY.
More than 100 firefighters rushed to the three-story house at 1945 63rd St., between 19th and 20th avenues, at about 3:15 p.m., said FDNY.
The fire on the second floor quickly escalated to a fourth-alarm and firefighters didn't get it under control until shortly after 5 p.m., FDNY said.
One civilian and two firefighters were hurt, but no one sustained life-threatening injuries, according to the FDNY.
