SILVER SHIELD COLLEGE AWARD
The Silver Shield Foundation is honoring the service of uniformed members of the FDNY to the New York community by awarding one member's college-bound daughter or son -- chosen by lottery -- a college scholarship in the amount of $5,000, renewable annually for up to four years. To be eligible, a student must be the natural or adopted child of an FDNY member currently serving as a Fire/EMS Officer, Firefighter, EMT, Paramedic, Wiper, Engineer, Pilot or Fire Marshal. FIRE BELL CLUB SCHOLARSHIP AWARD APPLICATION
Applications for the Fire Bell Club Scholarship Award are now available. Eligibility is as follows:
- Active Firefighters and Fire Officers who have been accepted or are attending an accredited institution of higher learning
- Firefighters/Fire Officers pursuing a degree in Fire Service Administration, Public Service Management, Nursing or a related Fire Service discipline and who have completed a minimum of twelve credits.
JAMES B. BOYLAN SCHOLARSHIP AWARD APPLICATION
Applications for the annual James B. Boylan Scholarship Award are now available and can be obtained via email to Mr. Robert Gullickson at . This scholarship is offered to children of Firefighters/Fire Officers (active and retired) entering a Catholic High School on Staten Island. The amount of the scholarship is $7,000. Applications must be submitted by May 1, 2018. The award will be announced June 30, 2018 at the annual Lt. Joe Gullickson Picnic.
