BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A three-alarm fire ripped through a Bed-Stuy townhouse early Monday morning, FDNY officials said.
The blaze erupted at 667 Jefferson Ave., between Stuyvesant Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard, around 12:30 a.m. Monday morning, said FDNY.
It took firefighters more than two hours to extinguish the flames, which quickly spread up three stories and into the cockloft, FDNY said.
Four firefighters were injured when a piece of the building's facade came crashing down on them, said FDNY.
Three of the firefighters were treated for minor injuries at Kings County Hospital and another was treated on the scene, according to FDNY.
