Fatal Fire Rips Through Queens Home

A man was killed Friday night when a fire tore through a home in Queens, cops said.

The fire was sparked at a residence on 262nd Street in the Glen Oaks section at around 7:30 p.m., according to police.

When the fire was extinguished, firefighters found a man unconscious on the second floor of the home.

Emergency medical responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

It was not clear Friday night how the fire started.
