A man was killed in a Queens fire Friday night, authorities said.

The blaze broke out on the second floor of a house on 262nd St. near 83rd Ave. in Glen Oaks around 7:40 p.m., the FDNY said.

“We saw a lot of flames coming out of the window. When we first started smelling it, we started honking our car horn in case people were sleeping inside,” said Bibi Ally, a neighbor from down the street.

Firefighters were able to knock down the blaze within thirty minutes, but that was too late for the victim, who was found dead in a bedroom on the second floor, authorities said.

“It’s so sad. I thought nobody was there because nobody was coming out of the house,” Ally said.

Neighbors believe the dead man is the son of the elderly homeowners who were in Florida on vacation.

“They’re really nice. They don’t have problems with anyone. His mom bakes and brings it to everybody. He says hi to everyone, he’s really helpful,” Damanvir Kaur, 20, said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
