Businesses Destroyed after Fast-Moving Fire Erupts in Manhattan

INWOOD, Manhattan – Firefighters are battling a 4-alarm fire in Manhattan Sunday morning.

The commercial fire started at 150 Nagle Avenue a little after 10 a.m., FDNY said.

The fire started on the first floor and extended to the cockloft of the building, which has been open for 28 years, and spread to the row of stores on the block.

None of the businesses were open at the time of the fire.

About 138 firefighters responded -- five firefighters suffered non life-threatening injuries from the incident.
