Person Struck by Train On Upper West Side, FDNY Says

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A person was struck by a train Friday afternoon in an Upper West Side subway station, an FDNY spokesman confirmed with Patch.

First responders arrived at the West 96th Street and Central Park West subway station around 2:45 p.m. and removed a person from underneath a train, an FDNY spokesman said. The person's identity and condition could not be confirmed by officials.

The person was taken to St. Luke's hospital, an FDNY spokesman told Patch.

The MTA confirmed that a person was hit at the station and implemented service changes on B and C trains.
