Several people were injured — one critically — in a three-alarm fire at a Bronx apartment building early Wednesday, officials said.

The inferno started on the first floor of a building on E. 179th St. in Mt. Hope at around 5 a.m.

Approximately 140 firefighters responded to the scene and battled the flames for more than two hours before bringing things under control around 7:30 a.m.

A total of five people were injured, including one civilian who is in critical condition and was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital.

Three firefighters and one other civilian were also hurt, suffering minor injuries.
