61ST ANNIVERSARY OF THIRD AVENUE COLLAPSE UNVEILING OF NEW PLAQUE AND WREATH LAYING
On Tuesday, April 4th, at 1100 hours, the Department will commemorate the 61st Anniversary of the Third Avenue Collapse, at which six members of the Department made the Supreme Sacrifice on April 4th, 1956. The ceremony will take place at the location of the fire, 4085 Third Avenue, Bronx, NY. All off-duty members and their families are invited to attend. Members are requested to attend in dress uniform.


PASSOVER SEDER EVENT
On Thursday, April 6th from 3pm - 5:30pm, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Ner Tamid Society are hosting their first-ever Seder to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Passover. Join us for a full Seder meal provided by a reputable Glatt Kosher caterer in the auditorium at 9 MetroTech. The event is free and is open to all members of the Department, but please note that it is first come, first served.

2017 FDNY ROWING COMPETITION
On Saturday, April 15th, at 10 am, the 2017 "Fit to Fight" FDNY Rowing Competition will be held at Randall's Island. Competition is open to all Fire/EMS personnel. Complete and submit the registration form by April 1st, for a chance to win a Concept 2 Rower for your Firehouse/EMS Station. FDNY FIRE FAMILY TRANSPORT FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER
On Saturday, April 15th, the Feal Good Foundation and the Ray Pfeifer Family will host a fundraiser to support the FDNY Fire Family Transport Foundation. The Foundation has been a lifesaver for Ray and his family. It has been Ray's vision to provide a handicapped accessible van to the organization that would benefit other families in need. Please join us at Mulcahy's in Wantagh, NY from 1pm - 5pm where there will be live music, open bar, buffet, free T-shirts, door prizes, live auction and more. There will also be a special guest appearance by Jon Stewart. Tickets are $100 per person and can be purchased at the door, or online HERE.
