A firefighter severely injured when he jumped five stories from a burning Bronx building returned to New York Hospital yesterday to thank doctors.

Eugene Stolowski, 33, one of four firefighters hurt in the tragic "Black Sunday" blaze in January, told the doctors they "saved my life and put me back together."

Two colleagues died trying to escape the blaze.

Dr. Philip Stieg said Stolowski is expected to make a complete recovery.
