A fire yesterday evening in the Manhattan Municipal Building sent six firefighters to the hospital with minor injuries, the Fire Department said. The fire, which broke out around 5:30 p.m., drew 126 firefighters and took an hour to bring under control, a fire official said. He said the six firefighters were treated at a hospital and released. The blaze, whose damage had not been determined last night, was confined to the 20th floor of the building's north tower, where the offices of the city's Division of Real Estate Services are located. The official said the cause was under investigation. During the week, more than 3,000 city employees work in the 34-story landmark building at 1 Centre Street, which was built in 1914. However, the official said, there were few employees there on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend.
