A disabled Bronx man cheated death yesterday after a two-alarm fire erupted in his Kingsbridge Heights apartment, officials said.

Leslie Seaton, 63, was carried unconscious by firemen from his fifth-floor apartment at 2840 Bailey Ave., where the blaze was reported at 1 p.m., eyewitnesses said.

Seaton was taken to Jacobi Hospital where he was being evaluated. His condition was not considered life-threatening, according to a hospital spokesman.

Seaton's wife, Gloria, was visiting her best friend, Pat Leddy, in an apartment two stories below, when the fire broke out.

Fire investigators said the cause remained under investigation.
