(New York -WABC A three alarm fire in the Bronx caused commuter woes during Tuesday evening's rush hour. Subway service on the number 2 and 5 trains, between 149th Street and East 181th Street was suspended for several hours. Shuttle buses have been implemented. Smoke can be seen billowing over the skyline and Eyewitness News is told that the delays are running in both directions, although the extent of these tie-ups are unknown. The big problem with this fire so far has been the smoke. Standing at Westchester Avenue and 161st Street in the Longwood section of the Bronx, where firefighters tell us the fire is in a vacant building, and so far no injuries have been reported. They also tell us they think the fire started on the first floor or in the basement. Firefighters were inside, and at one time they were forced out by the intense flames. Right now they are fighting this three-alarm fire from the outside. Firefighters believe that they have this fire under control somewhat, but they're going to be here for a while. The cause of the fire is still unknown. There is another fire in the Bronx this afternoon - this one in an apartment building in the Fordham section. We're told the fire started on a fourth floor apartment at about 4:00 p.m., nobody was hurt, but two firefighters were being treated for minor injuries.
