DAILY NEWS presents the 4th Annual FDNY Five-Alarm cookoff competition

We know you can stand the heat, but are you up for a culinary challenge?

Does your Firehouse have the best culinary talent in New York City?

Submit an original recipe for a dinner entree that is a firehouse favorite to compete in the FDNY Five Alarm Cookoff that pits Firehouse against Firehouse and Borough against Borough.

The Champion Chef and his/her firehouse will be awarded a Grand Prize, in addition to well-deserved bragging rights!

Competition Schedule

Staten Island: Saturday, October 6, 2012 (12:00 noon-2:00 pm)*
Queens: Saturday, October 13, 2012 (12:00 noon-2:00 pm)*
Bronx: Sunday, October 14, 2012 (12:00 noon-2:00 pm)*
Manhattan: Saturday, October 20, 2012 (12:00 noon-2:00 pm)*
Brooklyn: Sunday, October 21, 2012 (12:00 noon-2:00 pm)*

Final FDNY Five Alarm Cookoff Competition: Tentatively, to be held the week of November 5, 2012.

Final Cookoff date will be announced in October.

Each competition will include a "friends & family" reception.
