1. 34th Anniversary Of The Waldbaum's Fire
On Thursday, August 2nd at 10:30am, E-276/L-156, E-254/L-153, B-33 and B-42 will hold a Memorial Mass commemorating the 34th anniversary of the Waldbaum's Fire at St. Brendan's Church located at 1202 Avenue O, Brooklyn, NY1202 Avenue O, Brooklyn, NY. All off-duty members and their families are invited to attend. As a mark of respect to the deceased, members are requested to attend in dress uniform.
2. FF Michael Shagi (E-74) Plaque Dedication
On Friday, August 3rd at 11am, a Plaque Dedication will be held honoring the memory of Firefighter Michael J. Shagi (E-74) who died on June 22, 2007. The dedication will take place in the quarters E-74, located at 120 West 83rd Street, New York, NY. All off-duty members and their families are invited to attend. Members are requested to attend in dress uniform.
3. Military Appreciation Day With The Staten Island Yankees
On Sunday, August 5th at 4pm at Richmond County Bank Ballpark located at 75 Richmond Terrace Staten Island, NY 10301 military appreciation day with the Staten Island Yankees will be held. Come out and watch the Staten Island Yankees vs. Lowell Spinners. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a free limited edition Staten Island Yankees Camouflage Jersey. 4. FF Carl Capobianco (L-87) Memorial Golf Outing
REMINDER: On Monday, August 6th at 8am there will be a shotgun start at La Tourette Golf Course in Staten Island for the FF Carl Capobianco Memorial Golf Outing. Tickets: $165 per person (all-inclusive) includes golf cart, shirts, food and beverages. Proceeds will be collected to dedicate an FDNY Fire Family Transport Van in Carl's name. 5. Steuben Association Boat Ride
REMINDER:On Wednesday, August 15th, the Annual Steuben Association Boat Ride for Firefighters, Nurses and friends will leave Pier 83 at West 42nd Street, Manhattan, aboard Circle Line Tours. Boarding begins at 7:30 pm; the cruise is from 8-11pm. Tickets: $40 in advance; $50 at the door if available includes the DJ, dancing, and beverages and food. Proceeds benefit the FDNY Steuben Association charities.
