NEW YORK -- More than 200 firefighters are continuing to battle a stubborn seven-alarm blaze at a vacant commercial building in Brooklyn.The fire at the two-story, block-long brick building on Fulton Street began at 3:30 p.m. Monday. It continued to burn early Tuesday morning.
Seven firefighters have been injured. Three were taken to a hospital. Their injuries were not immediately known. The other four were treated at the scene.
The fire department said the building once housed a food processing plant.
Fifty-four units and 230 firefighters are at the scene.
