1. CORRECTION: Checks for FF Billy Quick Memorial Volleyball Tournament in Long Beach
NOTE: All Checks should be made payable to the Lt. Williams Fund, NOT the FF Billy Quick Fund. The FF Billy Quick Memorial Volleyball Tournament will be held on Monday, June 11th (rain-date June 18th) at 8am. Registration will begin at Riverside Blvd at the Beach in Long Beach, NY. 2. FF Thomas Brick College Scholarships
REMINDER: The FDNY is now accepting applications for this year's Firefighter Thomas Brick scholarship program named to honor the fallen firefighter. College scholarships are available to all active FDNY fire officers and firefighters who plan to take one or more courses during the 2012-2013 academic year. Scholarships of $2,500 each will be awarded and can be used for course tuition and textbook costs. Applications are available on the FDNY Intranet and should be returned to Chief of Department, Edward Kilduff, by Friday, May 18, 2012. 3. 6th Annual Martin J. Egan Jr. 5K Memorial Run / Walk
On Sunday, May 20th, at 10am, the 6th Annual Marty Egan 5K Memorial Run/Walk will be held in Midland Beach picnic area, Lincoln Avenue and Fr. Capadanno Blvd., Staten Island. Pre-registration: $20, Race day registration: $25. Pre-registration, T-shirt and bib pickup on Thursday, May 17th, between 7:30-9:30pm at Grant City Tavern, Fremont Avenue and South Railroad Avenue, Staten Island, NY. 4. FDNY Anchor Club Rosary Hill Pizza Party
On Thursday, May 24th, from 11:30am to 3pm the FDNY Anchor Club, will host a pizza party for the patients at Rosary Hill Nursing Home, located at 600 Linda Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
