1. FF Michael Schroeter (E-97) Memorial Football Game Fundraiser
REMINDER: On Friday, April 13th at 6pm at theMitchel Athletic Complex located at 1 Charles Lindbergh Blvd. in Uniondale, NY 11553 the FDNY Bravest Football Club will take on the Washington D.C. General in a game to honor the memory of FF Michael Schroeter and his family. FF Schroeter, a member of the Bravest Football Club, was tragically killed in a recent skiing accident. He leaves behind a wife and a 2 year old son. Tickets: $10 per person. Children under 12: FREE. There will be a pre-game ceremony and half the proceeds from the game will go to Mike's son. 2. FF Michael Kiefer Educational Grant Awards 2012
Twelve (12) Educational Awards worth $500 each are available through the New York Firefighter's Burn Center Foundation. These grants shall be awarded for various types of schooling, be it academic, technical or a personal interest course. Submission dates are April 15th - June 15th. Eligibility is restricted to members of the Uniformed Firefighting Force, from Probationary Firefighters to Chief Officers, including Fire Marshals, Supervising Fire Marshals, Marine Engineers, Pilots, and Wipers. 3. FDNY/NYPD Racquetball Tournament
On Saturday, May 5th (for singles) & Sunday, May 6th (for doubles), the FDNY/NYPD Racquetball Tournament will be held at Club Fit 584 North State Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY. Proceeds from the event benefit both FDNY and NYPD Charities.


4. 2012 Fire Bell Club Scholarship Award Application
REMINDER: Applications for the Fire Bell Club Scholarship Award are now available. Applications can be obtained from Ms. Jacqueline Merveil, FDNY Registrar, at 718-281-8465. Eligibility: (1) Applicants must be active FF's 5th Grade and above & Officers who have been accepted or are attending an accredited institution of higher learning. (2) FF's/Officers who are pursuing a degree in Fire Service Administration, Public Service Management, Nursing or a related Fire Service discipline and who have completed a minimum of twelve credits. Applicants must submit a written statement of 500 words explaining why an applicant should be considered for award. Award: $500. Deadline: April 30th.


5. Friends of Firefighters (FoF) Dodgeball Tournament
On Saturday, May 5th from 12-5pm at Fort Hamilton Army Base located at 101st Street & Fort Hamilton Parkway in Brooklyn. Tickets: $25 per adult, children: FREE, includes food, drinks, entertainment, t-shirts for dodgeball players and more.
