UFA WINS ARBITRABILITY CASE ON RSOT SCHEDULING IN SOC UNITS
As we proceeded with this grievance case pertaining to the improper scheduling for RSOT tours within SOC, the FDNY filed a petition to the Office of Collective Bargaining challenging arbitrability. Their motion was denied and the UFA request for arbitration was granted. We now await dates for arbitration hearings. A complete copy of the OCB decision was mailed to every delegate of a SOC unit. If you have any helpful info, please call Bill Mirro.

NEW UFA PLATINUM VISA CARD AVAILABLE -
DON'T MISS OUT!
Be careful with discarding junk mail, as we have just sent out applications and brochures for the brand new NEW YORK'S BRAVEST Platinum Visa Card. Like the original union card concept, the Executive Board decided to continue to steer royalty payments toward support of Pre-1971 UFA retirees. These retired brothers do not have SBF coverage, therefore are receiving no welfare benefits like dental, optical, prescription drugs, etc. Each and every purchase you make with this new credit card will help their cause and generate a percentage of your purchase to go into a dedicated fund for future distribution. This is a great opportunity for you to help others, while helping yourself at the same time.

As you recognize the distinct advantages of this offering, you will see that the services included and the rates offered are far superior to the UFA credit card of the past. Your portfolio of Platinum benefits include:

  • Low introductory 3.9 % fixed APR and NO annual fee
  • After the introductory period, you'll continue savings with a low 9.99 % fixed APR
  • Credit lines from $5,000 up to $100,000
  • Balance transfer savings with no transfer fees
  • Up to $1,000,000 travel accident insurance
  • Emergency airline ticket replacement assistance & $3,000 lost luggage protection
  • Auto rental collision coverage
  • Double Warranty manager service (up to one year) on most retail items
  • Free additional cards at no extra cost to you
  • 24 Hour dedicated cardmember service

Our thanks to Tom LaMacchia, UFA treasurer, and Jim Ciulla, UFOA Chief's representative, for their efforts at negotiating this fantastic new deal. Do the retirees a favor - Do yourself a favor - Sign up today!
