Three-Alarm Fire Tears Through Brooklyn Beauty School; Firefighters Injured

At least a dozen city firefighters were injured Saturday morning while fighting a three-alarm fire in Brooklyn.

Flames broke out just before 10 a.m. inside a beauty school located at 86th Street near 24th Avenue in Gravesend.

The fire quickly escalated, prompting more than 130 firefighters to respond to the scene.

Fire crews were able to bring it under control around noon.

In the end, four storefronts were damaged.

All of the injured firefighters were taken to area hospitals and are expected to be okay.

As of late Saturday, the cause of the fire was still under investigation.
