At least 14 people suffered minor injuries when an elevator fell three stories in the Flatiron District.Fire department authorities raced to the Flatiron District after an elevator plummeted three stories Wednesday morning, officials said. A call came in at 7:02 a.m. reporting an elevator malfunction at 620 6th Ave. Shortly thereafter, the FDNY was at the scene treating the injured, officials said.
FDNY authorities said at least 14 people suffered minor injuries. It wasn't clear what caused the elevator to fall.
No further information was immediately available.
