Saturday, July 19, Wolfe's Pond Park Trail System,Staten Island,NY.In memory of fallen FDNY Ladder 5 firefighters. Start Time9am. Staggered start to avoid log jams. Format Individual or FDNY teams. New 5 and 10k courses. Bar-B-Que, rides, Lou Arena Children's Fun Run/obstacle course, music, food and refreshments, climbing tower, displays by NYPD and FDNY. Event benefits the Elsasser Fund. FDNY Family Weekend at the Intrepid

The Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, located on West 48th Street and12th Avenue, in Manhattan will honor members of the FDNY by hosting the FDNY Family Weekend on Saturday July 19, and Sunday July 20, 2003. This is open to families of our fallen as well as FDNY employees and their families. On both days, from 1pm to 4pm, fire apparatus will give on-going demonstrations on the pier. The Intrepid is open from10:00am to 6:00pm each day. Admission to the Intrepid is free to family members with an FDNY photo ID. If you do not have an FDNY photo ID, please call Firefighter Mastrangelo at (718) 999-1473 to have your name placed on a list. The weekend includes a special picnic on Saturday and Sunday. The picnic is being hosted by the Intrepid, food will be offered on the USS Edison (on the pier, across from the Intrepid) from12pm to 2pm, for employees of the Department and their families to enjoy lunch.
