Charity Soccer Tournament at Hofstra on 10/18 Reminder: 2nd Annual Tournament to Benefit the FF Sergio G. Villanueva Endowed Scholarship Fund. Saturday, October 18, Hofstra University, Hempstead, Long Island (rain or shine). Pre-game events begin at 10 am, tournament games beginning at 11am. The Hofstra Women’s Team plays at 5 pm followed by the Men’s Team at 7:30 pm. Award Dinner Honors FDNY Pipes & Drums on 10/24 The Irish Business Organization of New York will host its annual Gala Ball on Friday, October 24th at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Grand Central, New York. The IBO Celtic Spirit Award will be presented to the FDNY Emerald Society Pipes & Drums. Black tie event, commences with cocktails at 8 pm. Dinner and dancing 9pm – 1am. Tickets for the Gala Ball are $175 per person for members and $250 per person for non-members. Proceeds will be donated to Covenant House and the FDNY Emerald Society Pipes & Drums Band.
